What’s Included
- Magnum Research BFR Long Cylinder .45-70 Government revolver
The Long Cylinder configuration is chambered for .45-70 Government and uses a 5-shot unfluted stainless cylinder to accommodate the cartridge. The revolver is single-action only with an exposed hammer and a transfer-bar safety system. It is built in the United States and marked on the topstrap with BFR and a BR-prefix serial.
Its 10.5-inch stainless steel barrel is cut-rifled, hand-lapped, and finished with a target crown. The 1:14 right-hand twist supports the heavy .45-70 bullet range. The bore presents a clean, mirror finish with sharp lands and grooves.
The frame, cylinder, and barrel wear a brushed stainless finish for a uniform, durable appearance. A one-piece, pebble-textured black rubber grip with medallion provides a solid hold. The cylinder is free-wheeling, allowing bidirectional rotation for straightforward loading and unloading.
Target-style sights include a black square-notch fully adjustable rear and a black front blade on a ramped base. The integral barrel rib forward of the frame is drilled and tapped (with plug screws installed) and is scope base ready.
