The VP9 is a striker-fired, short-recoil 9mm built in Germany and marked with CIP N nitro proof, the Ulm stag antler, the DE country code, and the "BG" 2016 date code. It bears the HKI Columbus, GA importer mark. This example retains the pre-optics-cut slide configuration and a 15+1 capacity.
The 4.09 in cold-hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling with a 1:9.8 RH twist. A loaded chamber indicator is integrated. The sight setup consists of a front blade with a single tritium dot and a Meprolight TRU DOT rear sight, paired with a 6.38 in sight radius for clear, low-light aiming.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including paddle-style magazine releases and slide releases on both sides. The slide has front and rear cocking serrations and HK charging supports for confident manipulation. Safety features include a firing-pin block, trigger safety, loaded-chamber indicator, and disassembly safety, along with a Browning-type linkless locking system.
The black polymer frame provides an ergonomic grip with interchangeable backstraps and side panels, plus textured surfaces with finger grooves. An extended MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail with four slots supports common accessories.
Included are two 15-round steel double-stack magazines, the HK factory hard case, and manual. An additional SilencerCo 4.45 in threaded barrel for the VP9 is also included but not installed, offering an alternate barrel option alongside the standard 4.09 in barrel.
