Product Description

DWM Luger P.08 Alphabet Commercial 9mm, Weimar Era, 4 in Barrel, Rust Blue, Crown/N Proof

This Weimar-era DWM Luger P.08 Alphabet Commercial stands out with its commercial Crown/N nitro proof on the barrel underside, a blank chamber, and the DWM monogram on the toggle. Built circa 1921–1928 for the commercial market, it shows the short-frame P.08 profile without a grip safety and the German "GESICHERT" safety legend. Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4 inch barrel, fixed sights, and checkered wood grips, it includes two magazines and reflects the letter-suffix serial system in the "n" block.

    What’s Included

    • DWM Luger P.08 Alphabet Commercial 9mm pistol
    • Two 10-round Luger single-column magazines with concentric-ring style base

Produced by DWM during the Weimar era (circa 1921–1928), this Alphabet Commercial P.08 was intended for the civilian market. It bears the German Crown/N nitro proof on the underside of the barrel, lacks Imperial acceptance eagles, and features a blank (undated, uncrested) chamber, all consistent with commercial production. The toggle carries the DWM monogram, and the safety area is marked with the "GESICHERT" legend.

The pistol follows the classic short-recoil, toggle-locked Luger design with a single-action trigger and manual thumb safety. It uses the short-frame P.08 profile without a grip safety. Sighting is via a fixed front blade and a rear notch integral to the rear toggle link for a clean, traditional P.08 sight picture.

Chambered in 9mm Luger, it has a 4 inch barrel and a listed capacity of 10+1. Two single-column magazines are included, each with the concentric-ring style base associated with Luger magazines.

Construction is all-steel with a rust blue finish and checkered wood grip panels. Origin is Germany, and this example falls within the letter-suffix serial numbering in the "n" block, aligning with the Alphabet Commercial series details.
