The 22-inch round barrel is a later Winchester replacement marked "MADE IN U.S.A." and the receiver ring bears the Winchester oval WP proof, indicating factory reproofing; the barrel at the breech shows circled "P" proofs and the "45-70" marking, with no oval WP visible.
