The M77 Hawkeye action uses controlled-round feed with a Mauser-type extractor and a fixed ejector, providing positive cartridge control from magazine to chamber. This example is the long-action configuration for .300 Win. Mag. and features a 3+1 internal box magazine with a quick-release hinged floorplate for fast unloading.
The 24-inch sporter-profile barrel and receiver are alloy steel with a blued finish. The receiver has integral scope bases machined in, and this rifle comes with the correct Ruger M77 rings already installed. The rifle is configured without factory open sights.
The walnut stock features a classic sporter pattern with cut checkering, a black pistol-grip cap bearing the Ruger medallion, a red Ruger recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. The length of pull measures 13.5 inches for a traditional hunting fit.
Controls and fire control include Ruger’s LC6 single-stage trigger and a three-position safety. Manufactured in the USA in 2013, this Hawkeye Standard combines dependable function with straightforward field-ready features.
