What’s Included
- A. Uberti Model 1851 Navy .36 cap-and-ball revolver
The revolver is a true cap-and-ball percussion design with an open-top, wedge-retained barrel assembly and an under-barrel loading lever. It is not a cartridge conversion and has no loading gate or right-side ejector rod.
The 5.5" octagonal steel barrel is paired with a small brass-bead front sight and a hammer-notch rear sight. The action is single-action only, and the six-shot steel cylinder is roll-engraved in the Ormsby naval battle style with a "PATENT No" marking.
Construction details include a blued barrel and cylinder, a color case-hardened steel frame and receiver, and a brass trigger guard and backstrap. The grip is a one-piece walnut-finished style that matches the traditional 1851 Navy profile.
Markings include "BLACK POWDER ONLY" on the frame and "36 CAL." on the trigger guard. Import and proof markings read "TAYLORS & CO. WINCHESTER VA – A. UBERTI – ITALY" with Italian proof/inspection marks. Country of origin is Italy, and this is a reproduction of the Colt 1851 Navy pattern.
