Produced in 1967 as a dedicated Alamo tribute, this Single Action Frontier Scout features commemorative rollmarks including the barrel legend "ALAMO MODEL," the right-barrel mark "COLT SINGLE ACTION FRONTIER SCOUT .22 LONG RIFLE," and the top-barrel Hartford address. The run was limited to a single year, with approximately 4,500 examples reported.
The finish pairs a polished blue/black alloy frame with gold-tone accents on the non-fluted six-shot cylinder, grip frame, hammer, trigger, and ejector-rod head and spring. A factory scroll-engraved gold band decorates the butt strap between the grip panels, and the right grip carries an inlaid five-point star. Grips are two-piece cream imitation-ivory with gold Colt medallions.
Chambered in .22 LR, it uses a 4.75-inch barrel and fixed SAA-style sights with a blade front and a notch in the topstrap. The revolver operates on a single-action mechanism and retains the Colt Rampant logo on the right side of the frame. The ejector housing remains blued for contrast against the gold-tone trim.
Markings and configuration are consistent with the commemorative series, including a serial format with an "A22" suffix associated with this model. Made in the USA, this Alamo Model combines recognizable Colt features with distinctive commemorative finishes and presentation.
