This Colt Defense AR-15A4 is the commercial semi-automatic counterpart to the M16A4 configuration. It pairs a 20 in chrome-lined, threaded barrel with a 1:7 twist and direct impingement gas system, and features classic A2/A4 iron sights with rifle-length polymer handguards. Built on 7075-T6 forged aluminum receivers with a hard-coat anodized finish and correct Colt factory markings, it delivers the established A4 pattern in a clean, well-cared-for example.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

The 20 in barrel is chrome-lined, threaded, and roll-marked C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7, matching the A4 pattern with a 1:7 twist suited to a wide range of 5.56 NATO loads. It uses a direct impingement gas system and retains the round delta ring, A-frame front sight base with bayonet lug, and front sling swivel.
Sighting is via an A2 front sight post and an A4 carry-handle rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation. The rifle wears rifle-length, two-piece ribbed polymer handguards, a fixed polymer stock with a 13.5 in length of pull, and an A2 pistol grip. A manual safety, forward assist, and ejection-port cover are present.
The receivers are 7075-T6 forged aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish. The lower is marked COLT with the prancing pony, model AR-15A4, and CAL. 5.56MM, with COLT DEFENSE HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A. and SAFE/FIRE selector markings on the right side.
The upper carries the Colt CAGE code 13629 and a square forge symbol.
This AR-15A4 accepts STANAG-pattern magazines and has a stated maximum capacity of 30+1. Overall length is approximately 39.5 in (factory spec). A 2D data-matrix is present on the magwell. Made in the USA.
