- Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun
The Model 37’s bottom-eject system loads and ejects through the underside of the receiver. This example retains the classic field configuration: a 28" plain barrel with a fixed Modified choke, a 2 3/4" chamber, and a single brass bead front sight. Capacity is 4+1.
Made in the United States in 1949, it uses a steel receiver with a blued finish and carries the "PROOF TESTED" marking. The left side of the receiver features a factory roll-engraved game scene panel, adding period-correct visual detail to the Featherlight configuration.
The stock set is walnut, with a checkered wrist, a pistol grip with grip cap, and a grooved corncob fore-end. Length of pull measures 14.0. The furniture layout and cut checkering provide a traditional field feel with positive purchase.
Notable functional details include the takedown-style magazine cap and barrel lug for straightforward barrel removal, and a trigger group without a disconnector, allowing hold-the-trigger pump-fire operation in accordance with the original design.
