What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336C .30-30 lever-action rifle
Built in 1974, this Model 336C carries the JM barrel stamp with the barrel address "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A." The carbine configuration pairs a 20" round steel barrel with a round bolt and side ejection. The solid-top receiver is factory drilled and tapped and currently wears a one-piece scope base; no plug/filler screws are installed, and it is scope-ready.
Chambered in .30-30, it uses a full-length tubular magazine with a 6+1 capacity and twin barrel bands. Feeding is through a right-side loading gate, and sighting is set up with iron sights: a hooded ramp front and a semi-buckhorn rear with a stepped elevator.
The receiver and barrel wear a blued finish over steel. Controls include a gold-colored trigger and there is no cross-bolt safety present, consistent with its 1970s manufacture.
The wood stock is a pistol-grip style, uncheckered, and fitted with white-line spacers. It has a plastic grip cap, a molded "Marlin" buttplate with a matching white-line spacer, and a 13.5 length of pull.
