The Taurus PT 709 Slim is a micro 9mm single-stack pistol known for its ultra-thin 1.04" profile and 3.2" barrel. This striker-fired DAO model pairs a matte black slide with a black polymer frame and includes multiple built-in safeties and adjustable sights. Made in Brazil with import markings for Taurus International, the Slim series was discontinued around 2018.

The PT 709 Slim uses a recoil-operated, locked-breech, striker-fired DAO system. Safety features include a manual thumb safety, trigger safety with an integral safety blade, a firing pin block, and a loaded chamber indicator. This example does not have the Taurus Security System (key lock).
Designed for minimal bulk, the Slim has an approximate 1.04" width and a 3.2" steel barrel. It feeds from a single-stack 7-round magazine for a 7+1 capacity. The dust cover is smooth with no accessory rail.
Sighting equipment consists of a front blade with a single white dot and an adjustable rear sight secured by dual top screws and dovetail-mounted. The slide features an external extractor. The black polymer grip panels are molded with texturing and bear the Taurus medallion.
Markings include "MADE IN BRAZIL" and "TAURUS INT. MFG. MIAMI, FL - USA." Part of the Slim series, this model was discontinued around 2018 and later succeeded by the G2S/G2C families.
