It retains the classic 5-inch Government-length barrel and 7+1 capacity, with practical upgrades including a lowered and flared ejection port, skeletonized controls, and Pachmayr wraparound grips. Built on a proven Colt foundation, it delivers a purpose-built, optics-equipped .45 ACP package.

Built on a Colt Government Model steel frame manufactured in 1991, this full-size 1911 keeps the traditional .45 ACP format with a 5-inch barrel and single-action operation. The platform remains true to the Government Model layout while incorporating thoughtful, user-focused enhancements.
The Caspian 1911 slide is custom fit to the Colt frame and features vertical rear serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port. The rear sight has been replaced with a Docter micro reflex red dot mounted via a dovetail plate, while the front remains a fixed staked blade for a straightforward sighting setup.
Fire controls include a skeletonized three-hole trigger and a commander/rowel-style skeletonized hammer. An upswept beavertail grip safety and a single-side extended thumb safety support consistent manipulation in a single-action configuration. Pachmayr wraparound checkered rubber grips provide secure purchase.
The frame shows additional setup for mounting with the dust cover drilled and tapped along both sides. Overall, this custom build combines a Colt Government foundation with a Caspian slide and an installed red dot to deliver a tuned, optics-equipped .45 ACP 1911.
