The all-steel Vertec-profile frame includes an extended beavertail and aggressive frontstrap/backstrap checkering for secure purchase. An integral beveled magazine well speeds reloads, and the dust-cover accessory rail provides three slots for mounting compatible lights or accessories.
The slide wears a matching matte Nistan finish with front and rear serrations, a serrated topstrap to cut glare, and Beretta's open-top configuration. A low-profile, stealth slide stop is fitted for a streamlined profile.
The 4.9 in steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged and chrome-lined. The pistol uses a short-recoil, locked-breech system with a falling locking block. It is DA/SA hammer-fired and equipped with a skeletonized hammer.
Beretta's Extreme-S trigger system offers adjustable pre-travel and over-travel with a short reset of approximately 40% shorter than standard. Controls include an ambidextrous, frame-mounted manual safety, an automatic firing-pin block, and an oversized, reversible magazine release enhanced by the Toni System button.
