This Tavor 7 is built around a short-stroke gas piston action and a 4-position adjustable gas regulator with R (Regular), A (Adverse), S (Suppressed), and O (Off) settings, controlled by the front knob. The system is designed to run clean and lets the user tune the rifle to conditions and ammunition.
The 16.5 in CrMoV steel barrel is cold hammer forged and chrome lined, with a 1:12 in right-hand twist and 4 grooves. The barrel is threaded and fitted with a 3-port muzzle brake. The bullpup layout keeps the overall length to about 26.75 in while retaining a full-length barrel.
Controls are modern and adaptable: an ambidextrous manual safety, a forward AR-style magazine release, and a side charging handle that is reversible. The rifle is user-convertible for left or right ejection to suit shooter preference.
Construction features a reinforced polymer receiver and a ventilated polymer handguard, finished in Flat Dark Earth with black accents. A full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny top rail with T-marks spans the rifle, and a covered 6 o'clock accessory rail is integrated for additional mounting needs. The rifle uses SR-25/LR-pattern magazines, has a length of pull of 16.5 in, and weighs about 9.0 lb unloaded.
Markings include "MADE IN ISRAEL" on the barrel; receiver molded "TAVOR SAR 7.62 NATO" and "IWI US – MIDDLETOWN, PA."; and a small "P" stamp on the barrel, reflecting its Israeli manufacture and U.S. import.
