The tops of the barrels near the breech are roll-stamped "LEFEVER NITRO SPECIAL" and "LEFEVER ARMS CO. ITHACA, N.Y.," while the solid matted rib is plain, underscoring its Ithaca, New York origin.

Bore Condition: Poor - Noticeable dirt, stains, significant corrosion or damage.
Specific Condition Notes: This shotgun is not considered safe to shoot. The front lug has been re-welded. There is rust on the barrels and receiver. The trigger guard is missing. The double triggers are not firing or resetting.
The stock is a non-original replacement and remains unfinished without lacquer. Scratches and blemishes are present throughout.

The Nitro Special is a classic American double built as a durable field gun, using a boxlock action and extractor-only setup.
