Built by Cugir in Romania and imported by Century Arms, this AES 10B brings classic RPK-pattern features to a semi-auto 7.62x39 platform. It uses a heavy 23-inch barrel, a stamped AK-pattern receiver with an RPK-style bulged front trunnion, and includes a Romanian RPK carry handle. A left-side receiver optic rail is present, and a side-mount optic is included unmounted. The rifle accepts standard AK double-stack magazines and comes with a 30-round Magpul PMAG.

The AES 10B configuration mirrors the RPK pattern with a stamped receiver strengthened by a bulged front trunnion and a ribbed top cover. Its long-stroke gas piston action and right-side selector/safety provide familiar AK-pattern operation, while compatibility with standard AK double-stack magazines offers easy sourcing of spares and range gear.
The heavy 23-inch barrel is threaded and currently fitted with a thread protector. It uses a 1:10 twist for 7.62x39, and pairs with a front post and a tangent rear sight for a traditional sighting setup. A Romanian RPK carry handle is fitted, consistent with the model’s heritage.
Wood furniture completes the look and feel: two-piece Romanian wooden handguards, a light-finished wood stock, and a black polymer AK-pattern pistol grip. Length of pull is 12.75 inches. A left-side receiver optic rail is present for side-mounted optics.
This rifle comes with meaningful extras. A Romanian RPK-pattern adjustable bipod with wing-nut leg adjusters is included (detachable, uninstalled), along with a Romanian RPK wooden buttstock with a side sling loop (uninstalled). A side-mount optic is also included unmounted, aligning with the rifle’s Com-bloc optic interface. Factory reference specs list approximately 42 inches overall length and about 11.8 pounds weight.
