The AR500 uses a DPMS-pattern AR-308/AR-10 receiver set machined from 7075 aluminum and finished in anodized black. Both the upper and lower carry "500 AUTO MAX" rollmarks that denote its chambering. An ejection-port dust cover is fitted.
The 18 in stainless steel barrel is nitrided and threaded 3/4x28 TPI, with a factory-installed multi-port muzzle brake. Its 1:24 twist is matched to the 500 Auto Max cartridge. An adjustable gas block and direct-impingement system drive reliable semi-automatic operation.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard features a continuous Picatinny top rail, providing a solid mounting surface. No sights are installed. The rifle includes a left-side safety selector.
Furniture includes an adjustable, telescoping polymer stock with a rubber buttpad and a textured rubber-overmolded pistol grip. The rifle is finished in black and is manufactured in the USA, in Cody, Wyoming. Capacity is 9+1 with the included detachable box magazines.
