This carbine reflects a limited-run Miroku production of the Model 1895 in the Saddle Ring Carbine configuration and chambered in .30-40 Krag. The factory box label identifies the Grade as Special, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a receiver/aperture sight. Capacity is 4+1 via the integral fixed box magazine.
Construction is all-steel with a blued finish, paired with a straight-grip walnut stock and a long walnut forearm featuring twin grasping grooves and a single barrel band. The stock wears a steel carbine buttplate with a trapdoor, and the length of pull is 12.75 inches. Manufacture is by Miroku in Japan, with a circular "M" proof mark on the barrel.
Sights are traditional iron sights: a brass-bead front in a ramped base and a folding ladder rear sight with an elevation slider. Controls include a top-tang sliding safety with a red fire indicator. An underside sling loop is fitted to the receiver.
The carbine is a solid-frame, non-takedown 22 inch configuration from 2006, aligning with the limited-series production details. The factory end label supports the Special Grade designation; note that the included COA is for a Takedown Model and does not correspond to this rifle.
