The Standard Issue configuration features a 22-inch barrel and the classic M14 operating system: a semi-automatic, gas-operated, short-stroke piston with a rotating bolt. It retains the traditional M14 gas cylinder, plug, and operating-rod interface, delivering the handling and function associated with the platform.
Furniture is true to the GI pattern, with a walnut stock, steel buttplate, flip-up shoulder plate, and a trapdoor compartment, plus sling swivels. A brown, ribbed polymer upper handguard completes the classic top profile. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.
Sighting is M14-correct: an adjustable rear aperture with windage and elevation knobs, paired with a wing-protected front post mounted on the barrel band/gas lock. The rifle uses a state-compliant configuration with a muzzle brake in place of a flash suppressor.
The receiver carries the heel marking "US RIFLE M1A SPRINGFIELD ARMORY" and is finished in a durable Parkerized treatment that matches the rifle’s hardware. Country of origin is the United States.
Chambered in .308 Win with a 1:11 RH, 6-groove twist, this M1A has a 10+1 capacity and an overall factory-spec length of approximately 44.33 inches for the 22-inch configuration. Three steel 10-round magazines are included for compliant capacity out of the box.
