The TM-9X is a duty-size, locked-breech design with a polymer frame and steel rail inlays, delivering a rigid mounting surface for the stainless-steel slide. Front and rear slide serrations, an external extractor, and angled relief cuts near the muzzle provide practical handling and a purposeful exterior profile. The 1913 Picatinny accessory rail features four slots for mounting compatible lights or accessories.
The DARE trigger system brings restrike capability and a short reset, complemented by an ambidextrous magazine release for left- or right-handed use. A loaded chamber indicator offers a simple visual and tactile status check. The pistol uses steel three-dot fixed sights with a dovetailed front post and a dovetailed square-notch rear.
Ergonomics are supported by interchangeable backstraps (S/M/L), allowing the grip to be tailored to hand size. A low 22 mm bore axis helps keep the barrel closer to the hand, and field-stripping requires no trigger press, simplifying routine maintenance.
