The heart of this MPR is its 27 in carbon-fiber-wrapped 416R stainless steel barrel. It is free-floated, threaded, and fitted with a muzzle brake, and uses a 1:9.3 twist suited to the .338 Lapua Magnum. The threaded configuration provides flexibility for brake or suppressor use where permitted.
Built on the Model 14 action with a Remington 700 footprint, the receiver carries a black-nitride finish. The bolt is spiral-fluted with an oversized knob for confident manipulation, and it features an M16-style extractor; magnum actions use dual ejectors.
The rifle employs a skeletonized 7075-T6 aluminum chassis with an adjustable stock that includes a carbon-fiber cheekpiece and a recoil pad. An AR-style polymer pistol grip and a 13.0 in length of pull round out the ergonomic setup.
A carbon-fiber M-LOK handguard integrates a short 6 o'clock Picatinny rail section for accessories. The receiver-mounted, one-piece Picatinny scope rail is spec'd at 20-MOA to support long-range dialing. Feeding is via an AICS-pattern detachable magazine system with a 5+1 capacity.
