The 24-inch steel barrel is cold hammer-forged with a recessed crown and a 1:10 RH twist, suited to a wide range of .30-06 loads. The rifle has no iron sights and features a blued finish throughout the barrel and receiver.
The Series 2 platform includes a two-stage, adjustable trigger and a three-position safety. Weatherby specifies a Series 2 SUB-MOA (0.99 in) 3-shot accuracy guarantee when using premium ammunition.
The action uses dual opposed locking lugs, a polished fluted bolt body, and a plunger-type ejector for reliable cycling. Feeding is from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, offering a 5+1 capacity.
The walnut Monte Carlo stock has a right-hand cheekpiece, machine checkering at the grip and forend, sling swivel studs, and a rubber buttpad. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Manufactured in Japan by Howa for Weatherby, the rifle bears "MADE IN JAPAN" markings. Two-piece scope bases and 30mm rings are installed for straightforward scope mounting.
