The Colt LE901-16S from the CM/LE 901 series is a .308 Win modular carbine built on the .308 AR / Colt 901 platform (SR-25/DPMS mag pattern) with a monolithic, one-piece upper. It features an uninterrupted T-marked MIL-STD-1913 top rail, an integral quad-rail handguard, and a free-floated, chrome-lined 16.1-inch barrel with a 1:12 RH twist. Fully ambidextrous controls, SR-25 pattern magazine compatibility, and included flip-up sights round out a well-executed factory configuration.

The LE901-16S combines a monolithic upper receiver with an uninterrupted, T-marked MIL-STD-1913 top rail and an integral quad-rail handguard. This one-piece design provides a rigid interface for mounting accessories along the continuous top rail and on all four handguard rails.
The 16.1-inch chrome-lined barrel is free-floated and marked 'C MP 308 WIN 1/12.' Its 1:12 RH twist and factory four-prong flash suppressor reflect a purpose-built .308 Win setup from the factory. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the bolt catch/release and magazine release, and the rifle uses a manual safety. It accepts SR-25/DPMS/LR pattern magazines and is rated at 25+1 capacity, with five Magpul PMAG LR/SR25-pattern polymer magazines included.
Furniture includes a VLTOR-marked 6-position collapsible stock and an A2-pattern pistol grip. Sighting is handled by a folding front sight on the gas block and a folding rear sight. The lower is marked 'MODULAR CARBINE,' and the rifle is made in the USA.
