The Legion R2 configuration delivers a factory optics-ready slide with a removable cover plate secured by two screws ahead of the rear sight. The slide carries SIG SAUER P226 markings and a LEGION logo on top, and it wears the Legion gray finish to match the frame.
Controls are optimized for duty-ready handling, including DA/SA operation with a Short Reset Trigger and a curved shoe, a decocking lever, an elongated slide catch, an elongated takedown lever, and a checkered magazine release. A spurred hammer completes the classic control layout.
The sighting system consists of tritium 3-dot night sights with a bright green front dot and a serrated rear notch. The sight radius is approximately 6.3 inches, aiding precise alignment while maintaining fast acquisition.
The frame is aluminum alloy with front-strap checkering, an undercut trigger guard, and an extended beavertail for a secure, high grip. An integral accessory rail with three cross-slots is machined into the dust cover. Textured black G10 grips with Legion medallions provide traction and a distinctive Legion look.
The 4.4-inch barrel is marked 9mm x 19 on the hood. Capacity is 15+1 with the included factory steel magazines. This P226 Legion R2 is made in the United States.
