Built by Texas Brigade Armory (Mike Lau), this Remington Model 700 short-action rifle is a USMC M40A3 clone configured with a Schneider 24-inch match heavy barrel, A4-pattern fiberglass/composite stock, and AICS-pattern detachable box magazine system. It retains a clean, mirror-bright bore and includes a one-piece Picatinny scope base and a sling stud-mounted bipod, making it a well-executed, purpose-built clone with quality components throughout.

This rifle was built by Texas Brigade Armory (TBA) under Mike Lau and is marked accordingly on the receiver. It is configured as a USMC M40A3 clone on a Remington Model 700 short action, with the receiver marked Remington MODEL 700 and U.S., and the barrel shank stamped 7.62 NATO.
The Schneider match-grade, 24-inch heavy, unfluted barrel is free-floated and finished with a recessed crown and matte exterior. An oversized/tactical bolt knob is fitted for confident manipulation. There are no iron sights, and a one-piece Picatinny scope base is installed.
The A4-pattern fiberglass/composite stock features a two-knob adjustable cheekpiece, spacer-type buttpad system, and a 14-inch length of pull that can be adjusted via spacers. The stock wears a woodland camouflage finish with molded textured panels on the grip and forend, plus a front sling/bipod stud.
An AICS-pattern detachable box magazine bottom metal is installed, providing a 5+1 capacity. The rifle includes one 5-round polymer AICS-pattern magazine for 7.62x51.
