Built in Germany during the 1920s Weimar era, this Ortgies is the large-frame variant chambered in .32 ACP. The slide legend on the left side reads "DEUTSCHE WERKE AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT WERK ERFURT" over "ORTGIES PATENT," with the right side unmarked, consistent with Deutsche Werke production. A C-prefix serial is visible through the ejection port.
The pistol uses a simple blowback, striker-fired system with a fixed 3.25 in barrel and hammerless profile. Capacity is 7+1 in .32 ACP. Fixed sights are integral to the slide, with a half-moon front blade and a rear U-notch.
Controls reflect the Ortgies design, including a heel-release magazine catch and the unique latchable grip safety. The slide has vertical rear serrations and a backplate-style tail, both typical of the model.
Both the steel frame and slide have a bright plated finish. Later Deutsche Werke production features, such as the round inlaid grip medallion on the wooden grips, are present.
