Built on the Howa-manufactured Mark V magnum action, this rifle uses the nine-lug bolt with a 54-degree lift for smooth operation. The bright-polished bolt body incorporates gas-relief holes, a plunger ejector, and a small extractor, paired with a blued steel receiver that is drilled and tapped.
The 24 in. steel barrel wears a blued finish and a sporter profile, chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag. The receiver carries the South Gate, Calif. rollmark and "Made in Japan" stamp consistent with Howa production during the 1983–1994 period.
The internal box magazine holds 3+1 rounds and is configured with a hinged floorplate. A two-position safety is fitted to the action. There are no factory sights, and the receiver is prepared for optics with installed two-piece bases and 1 in. rings included.
The right-hand composite stock features a Monte Carlo comb, cheekpiece, and molded checkering, finished in black/charcoal. A Weatherby recoil pad, sling swivel studs, and a belly medallion are factory elements. Length of pull measures 13.75 in.
