The factory-integrated INSIGHT red laser is built into the frame with ambidextrous side buttons for activation. It is windage and elevation adjustable, offers three modes, and includes a 5-minute auto-off. The unit runs on two 357 cells, providing a compact aiming aid that is always aligned to the pistol.
The pistol uses a stainless steel slide and barrel treated with a black Melonite finish for surface hardness and corrosion resistance. Low-profile, steel, dovetailed sights are drift-adjustable and designed to sit snag-resistant in a micro-format carry gun.
Its DAO, internal-hammer, recoil-operated system provides true second-strike capability. A manual thumb safety is included. The frame is lightweight polymer with molded texturing and S&W medallion panels, keeping the package slim at 0.80 in wide and easy to carry.
