This is the original XD 4-inch Service Model in 9mm Luger, manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported by Springfield Inc., Geneseo, IL. It features a forged steel barrel, a Melonite-finished slide, an ambidextrous magazine release, and multiple passive safeties. Three matching serial numbers on the barrel, slide, and frame, plus the right-side slide "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A." rollmark and the frame import panel ("SPRINGFIELD INC., GENESEO IL" and "HS PRODUKT, MADE IN CROATIA"), add clear provenance. Its full-size frame, 16+1 capacity, and fixed 3-dot sights make it a straightforward, duty-length configuration.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.

The XD-9 Service Model uses a striker-fired, tilting-barrel locked-breech operating system paired with a forged steel 4" barrel and a Melonite-finished slide. The full-size polymer frame is finished in black and wears textured grip panels with SA-XD insets for a secure, consistent hold.
Controls and safety features include an ambidextrous magazine release, a grip safety, a trigger safety, a loaded chamber indicator, and a striker status indicator. Front and rear slide serrations support reliable manipulation in varied conditions.
Fixed 3-dot sights with white dots front and rear provide a clear, straightforward sight picture. The integral accessory rail features two cross-slots for mounting compatible lights or accessories as desired.

The right side of the slide is rollmarked "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A.", and the frame bears molded markings reading "SPRINGFIELD INC., GENESEO IL" and "HS PRODUKT, MADE IN CROATIA." The barrel, slide, and frame carry matching serial numbers. Capacity is 16+1, and the included stainless steel magazine has witness holes numbered to 16 for quick round-count verification.
