This is a factory small-frame Model 1100 two-gun set built in the United States and issued as a limited "Matched Pair" offering in 1969–1970. Only about 5,067 sets were produced, and this pair is identified by the unique, gold-filled "Matched Pair No. 8528" receiver roll-mark applied at the factory.
Both shotguns are gas-operated semi-automatics with 4+1 magazine tubes. The receivers are steel with a high-polish blued finish, complemented by bright in-the-white bolt carriers and ejectors and knurled steel magazine caps. The factory-engraved gold-filled scroll accents and the matched pair numbering provide unified presentation and clear provenance as a set.
Each gun features a 25-inch barrel with a vent rib and matted rib top, a single front bead, and fixed choke. Chambers are 2 3/4 inches, with the 28-gauge barrel marked "28 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS" as noted by the factory.
The stocks and fore-ends are gloss-finished hardwood with cut checkering and a pistol-grip profile. Both guns have ventilated rubber recoil pads with white-line spacers, and both share the same 14.0-inch length of pull and 25-inch barrel length for consistent handling across the pair.
