The bore is bright with sharp rifling, and the rifle comes with both a 30-round and a 10-round magazine.

Colt’s Match Target Competition HBAR II is part of the Match Target series, built in the United States and designed around the AR-15 platform. This example, manufactured in 2009, uses forged aluminum receivers with a matte black anodized finish and a fixed polymer stock that includes a rear sling loop. An A2 pistol grip and carbine-length, two-piece ribbed polymer handguards with round vent holes complete the classic configuration.
The 16-inch heavy-profile HBAR is magnetic-particle-inspected and finished with an unthreaded, recessed crown. It uses a 1:9 twist to stabilize a wide range of 5.56mm projectiles. While the lower receiver is marked .223, the barrel is marked 5.56 NATO and the actual chambering is 5.56 NATO. The bore presents a clean, mirror finish with sharp lands and grooves.
The upper is a flat-top receiver fitted with a detachable carry handle that houses an A2-pattern rear sight with elevation and windage drums. Up front is an A-frame front sight base with an A2 sight post and no bayonet lug. The carbine-length gas system is complemented by standard AR features including an ejection-port cover, forward assist, and case deflector.
Capacity is 30+1 with standard magazines, and this rifle includes both a USGI-pattern 30-round aluminum STANAG magazine and a compact 10-round steel magazine. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches, offering a consistent shoulder fit with the fixed stock.
