The VP9K A1 pairs a compact footprint with a 4.09 in cold hammer-forged steel barrel using polygonal rifling and a 1:9.8 twist. The sight radius is compact-length, and the carbon-nitride 'hostile environment' finish is applied to the slide.
The optics-ready slide features HK's steel plate system with integral recoil lugs and a cover plate, plus front and rear cocking serrations. A four-slot accessory rail is integrated into the frame.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the slide releases and the paddle-style magazine release. The frame uses interchangeable side panels and backstrap, and an integral flared magwell aids reloads. A nickel-Teflon–coated trigger bar is part of the A1 trigger system.
Sights include a high-visibility green front dot and a plain black rear notch. This VP9K A1 is CIP proofed, marked with the DE and CIP N proofs, and HKI Columbus, GA import marked. Capacity is 15+1, and three 15-round magazines are included.
