The slide uses the 92-series open-top design with an integral front blade and a dovetailed rear notch, paired to a short-recoil, locking-block operating system. The frame is marked Type M9A1, while the slide is marked MOD. 92FS – CAL. 9mm Parabellum – PATENTED., reflecting the model’s lineage within the 92 family.
This pistol is finished in FDE on both the frame and slide with contrasting black/gray controls. The FDE configuration combined with a threaded barrel is uncommon within the M9A1 family, offering a distinctive appearance while maintaining standard-height iron sights.
The 5.1-inch extended barrel is threaded and fitted with a knurled protector. An OEM non-threaded barrel with locking block is also included, giving the buyer two complete barrel setups. The barrel is marked PB – 9 x 19, and the pistol carries the BERETTA U.S.A. CORP., ACCOKEEK MD, MADE IN USA marking with the PB logo.
Controls include a double-action/single-action system with an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker and a ring-style spur hammer. The full-size aluminum-alloy frame incorporates an integral three-slot Picatinny accessory rail and a lanyard loop at the grip butt. Textured layered composite G10-style grips are installed for added purchase.
