This customized M1A uses the proven gas-operated, short-stroke gas piston system with a 14-inch steel barrel. It retains the standard M14/M1A gas cylinder with a knurled gas plug and hexagonal gas lock, and it is fitted with a ported muzzle brake to help manage muzzle rise.
The Archangel adjustable precision stock is a durable polymer chassis with an adjustable length of pull, adjustable cheek riser, thick recoil pad, integral storage compartment, and a sling/bipod stud. The stock features a molded American flag and ARCHANGEL branding, and it pairs with a polymer upper handguard. This setup provides modern ergonomics while supporting the M1A’s traditional operating system.
For sighting, the rifle retains its iron sights with a protected front post and a rear aperture adjustable for windage and elevation via knobs. A Springfield Armory receiver-mounted scope base with Picatinny rail segments is installed and marked accordingly, providing a solid platform for adding optics when desired.
