The Compass Gen 1 action uses a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift for fast operation, and the bolt handle wears a grooved knob. The carbon-steel receiver is blued, drilled and tapped, and comes fitted with two-piece Weaver-style bases and 1-inch rings for straightforward optic mounting.
The 22-inch blued steel barrel is button-rifled with 5R rifling, free-floated, and cut with a 1:10 twist to suit .270 Win bullet weights. The muzzle is factory threaded 5/8x24 and capped with a knurled thread protector.
The black synthetic stock is pillar-bedded and includes molded traction panels and dual sling studs. Controls include a three-position wing safety and a single-stage, user-adjustable trigger. Length of pull is 13.25 inches.
