This M&P45 Shield M2.0 is a striker-fired, micro-size .45 ACP with a slim profile and single-stack magazines. It incorporates a manual thumb safety along with a hinged safety trigger and internal safeties for a layered approach to safe handling.
The 3.3-inch stainless steel barrel and stainless steel slide are Armornite treated, with the slide finished in black. Overall length is 6.45 inches, height is 4.6 inches, and unloaded weight is approximately 20.5 ounces. The pistol is made in the USA and carries the SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A. rollmark.
Controls and ergonomics include a left-side magazine release, integral beavertail, and the M2.0 aggressive grip texture for a secure hold. Slide features include rear serrations, front scallops, and an external extractor.
Sight configuration is straightforward and practical, with a dovetailed white-dot front sight and a drift-adjustable rear sight. The slide bears the factory warning, CAUTION–CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED, consistent with this model. Capacity is 7+1, and this pistol comes with both 7-round and 6-round factory stainless magazines noted above.
