The Model 94AE Trapper configuration combines the compact 16 in. barrel with the Angle Eject receiver, providing the classic handling of the 94 in a short, maneuverable package. This example is chambered in .357 Magnum and retains a traditional blued steel finish with wood furniture.
It uses a full-length tubular magazine with a 7+1 capacity and a right-side loading gate. Controls include a cross-bolt safety and a hammer with spur, and the length of pull measures 13.5 in.
Sighting equipment consists of a ramped, drift-dovetailed front blade and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight on an elevator. The receiver top is smooth and not drilled and tapped, and a saddle ring is mounted on the left side of the receiver.
Made in New Haven, Connecticut, the barrel carries factory rollmarks reading WINCHESTER MODEL 94AE — CAL. .357 MAG. and MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. The stock is walnut-colored with a straight grip and a black polymer buttplate, matched to a wood carbine fore-end secured by two barrel bands.
