This P220-1 American variant uses the left-side push-button magazine release and DA/SA operating system with a decocking lever. Controls include a left-side slide catch and a spurred hammer, paired with a curved trigger. It is a full-size .45 ACP with a 7+1 capacity.
Construction follows the classic stamped-steel slide configuration with an internal extractor and rear-only serrations. The slide wears a matte nickel finish over a black anodized alloy frame, giving it a clean two-tone profile. The non-railed frame keeps the lines traditional.
Sights are tritium night sights, with a Trijicon-marked rear unit dated 1994 and a tritium front sight. The 4.5 inch barrel provides a standard duty-length sight radius.
