This Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Field/All-Purpose stands out with its 28 in vent-rib smoothbore barrel, 3.5 in magnum capability, and classic wood furniture. This example adds a rib-mounted adjustable rear sight and is in very good overall condition with an excellent bore.

The 835 Ulti-Mag was introduced in 1988 as the first 12-gauge pump built to run 3.5 in shells. This Field/All-Purpose configuration accepts 2-3/4, 3, and 3-1/2 in shells, offering broad versatility across hunting and field roles.
The 28 in vent-rib smoothbore barrel is overbored to near 10-gauge dimensions to enhance pattern performance and uses Mossberg's Accu-Mag choke system. The barrel is non-ported and pairs with a front bead for fast alignment.
This example features an aftermarket clamp-on, rib-mounted adjustable rear sight that works with the front bead to provide a tunable sight picture. It retains a blued finish with a blued/black receiver for a traditional look.
The action is derived from the Mossberg 500 and includes twin action bars and dual extractors. Capacity is 5+1. A 14.0 in length of pull, ventilated recoil pad, and cut-checkered satin-finished wood stock and forend round out the classic handling and ergonomics.
For ammunition flexibility, slugs should be used only in barrels designated for slugs. Made in the United States.
