The Tavor 7 uses a short-stroke gas piston with a rotating multi-lug bolt for reliable function in 7.62 NATO. Its four-position gas regulator (Regular, Adverse, Suppressed, Off) lets the user tune the system for different conditions, with the Off position enabling single-shot operation.
The bullpup layout places the action behind the trigger, delivering a 16.0 inch length of pull within a durable, high-strength polymer chassis. The vented fore-end promotes airflow around the barrel, and the rifle is finished in black.
Controls and handling are modern and user-focused: a non-reciprocating forward-mounted charging handle, ambidextrous safety, and a right-side ejection port with dust cover. The ejection side is user-convertible to suit shooter preference.
Up top, a full-length Picatinny rail with T-markings integrates flip-up iron sights, providing a ready sighting setup. The cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined, free-floating barrel features a 1:12 twist and a threaded muzzle with a multi-port brake/compensator installed.
