Factory markings include the triangle arsenal mark with 306 and the model designation in Chinese characters "五六式". The import mark reads: "SKS 7.62x39 MADE IN CHINA BY NORINCO POLY USA ATL GA," confirming Poly USA, Atlanta, GA importation.
Chambered in 7.62x39, this SKS uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a fixed 10-round internal magazine configured for stripper-clip loading. The barrel measures 20.5" and pairs with iron sights for practical field use.
The rifle retains a blued finish over its steel receiver, with the bolt and bolt carrier left in the white. It wears a hardwood stock with a bottom-mounted rear sling swivel on a base plate with two screws and a right-side lightening groove, plus a wooden upper handguard. Sights consist of a post front sight and a sliding tangent rear sight with "D" battle setting and 1–10 graduations.
Notable updates include a rubber recoil pad installed in place of the standard steel buttplate and a non-standard receiver cover with external clamp blocks and screws. The listed length of pull is 13.0".
The bayonet lug is present, but no bayonet is included, and no cleaning rod is visible. Visible serials on the bolt carrier and trigger guard match each other, while the magazine floorplate shows a different number.
