The FNX-45 Tactical combines FDE slide and frame finishes with a polymer frame and a ring-style external hammer. Its DA/SA trigger system works with a manual safety and decocker, giving the shooter flexible carry and shooting options.
The slide is optics cut and fitted with a two-screw cover plate. Front and rear serrations aid manipulation, and the suppressor-height 3-dot iron sights provide a clear sight picture.
The 5.5 in threaded barrel includes a thread protector, and the frame integrates a 1913 accessory rail with four slots to support common accessories. Interchangeable backstraps allow quick grip-size tuning.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety/decocker, slide stop, and magazine release. Capacity is 15+1 in .45 ACP, and FN oval logos are present on the slide and grip panels. The serial number is displayed in a windowed plate on the underside of the dustcover.
