This Italian-made Beretta Cx4 Storm 8000 is the .45 ACP variant configured for Cougar-series magazines. Built in 2009 and now discontinued, it features a 16.6-inch cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and a straight blowback action. Reversible controls and ejection, a full-length Picatinny top rail, and the polymer monocoque receiver/stock make this a versatile, purpose-built pistol-caliber carbine.

This Storm 8000 configuration is set up for Beretta Cougar-series .45 ACP magazines and carries an 8+1 capacity. The action is straight blowback, paired with a steel, cold-hammer-forged barrel that is chrome-lined for durability and easy maintenance. The steel bolt runs within a polymer monocoque receiver/stock that Beretta refers to as technopolymer.
Controls are fully reversible, including the magazine release, charging handle, and ejection. It ships with the charging handle and ejection on the right side. A cross-bolt safety with a red fire indicator annulus provides a clear visual reference. The length of pull is spacer-adjustable and is currently set to 14 inches.
The carbine includes a full-length Picatinny top rail for mounting accessories, along with integral rear and front sling loops (front is a molded eyelet at the 6 o'clock of the fore-end) for carry options. Overall length is adjustable from 29.7 to 31.5 inches via spacers, and the unloaded weight is approximately 90.8 ounces. The stock is black polymer with a thumbhole, skeletonized design and a pistol grip.
