The M4 Tactical is Benelli's combat-proven semi-automatic shotgun built around the ARGO twin short-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt. This specimen is chambered in 12 gauge for 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells and uses an 18.5 inch barrel with a factory 5+1 capacity.
Sighting equipment is purpose-built: a protected post front with wings pairs to an LPA Italy adjustable ghost-ring rear. A MIL-STD-1913 top Picatinny rail is screw-mounted to the factory drilled/tapped receiver, which is roll-marked “m4.”
The shotgun wears a matte black finish with a ribbed polymer fore-end and a fixed black synthetic pistol-grip stock featuring a sling slot. It retains the factory short magazine tube with a polymer cap and a front sling loop at the barrel/mag clamp.
Markings confirm Italian manufacture with importer stamps from Benelli U.S.A. Corp., Accokeek, MD, plus BENELLI ARMI S.P.A. – URBINO – MADE IN ITALY. Contemporary IT24 inspection/date markings are present, the bolt carrier is marked “BENELLI ARM SYSTEM,” and the factory box end label is dated October 29, 2024. This example also includes an uninstalled extended magazine tube, spring, and follower.
