Bushmaster XM15-E2S A3 Flat-Top 5.56 NATO, Windham ME — 14.5 in Pin & Weld M4 Carbine, State Compliant
This Bushmaster XM15-E2S was produced at the original Windham, Maine facility and configured as an A3 flat-top carbine in 5.56 NATO. It features a 14.5 in M4-profile barrel that is pin-and-welded with an extended slotted muzzle device to achieve an overall 16 in length, carbine-length gas system, and B MP-marked 1:9 twist rifling. The stock is pinned in a fixed position and the rifle ships with 10-round magazines, making it a practical, state-compliant configuration. The bore condition is excellent.

The XM15-E2S is part of Bushmaster's XM15 series and this example comes from the 2006–2011 Windham, Maine production era. It uses the AR-15 direct-impingement system and is chambered in 5.56mm NATO, delivering familiar handling and parts compatibility within the platform.
The barrel is an M4 profile, 14.5 in length, and marked "B MP 5.56 NATO 1/9," indicating Bushmaster proof and magnetic particle inspection with a 1:9 twist. A permanently attached extended slotted muzzle device is pin-and-welded to reach approximately 16 in overall barrel length. The barrel is threaded under the pinned device and the rifle uses a carbine-length gas system.
The receiver is the A3 flat-top style with an integral Picatinny rail. Sighting is provided by an A2 front sight tower and a detachable carry handle rear sight with a 6/3 drum, giving a durable and precise iron-sight setup.
Furniture includes a carbine-length, two-piece ribbed M4-style polymer handguard and an A2 pistol grip. The M4-type stock uses a collapsible shell that has been pinned in a fixed position with a 14 in length of pull; it cannot be adjusted without a tool. An integral rear sling loop is built into the stock. The rifle has a matte black finish and a manual safety.
This rifle is set up in a state-compliant configuration, including the pinned muzzle device, fixed-position stock, and 10-round magazines for a 10+1 capacity as configured.
