The PPS Classic is the first-generation configuration featuring the paddle-style magazine release at the trigger guard. It uses a slim, single-stack magazine system and a 3.2-inch steel barrel, offering an 8+1 capacity in 9mm Luger. The frame is polymer, and the overall finish is matte black for a low-glare profile.
Controls and safeties include the QuickSafe removable backstrap feature and a trigger safety with a safety blade. The slide stop lever is on the left side. The dust-cover accessory rail has a single cross-slot for compatible lights/lasers.
Sights are iron, with a red fiber-optic front post paired to a plain rear notch for a clean sight picture. The slide has rear serrations for traction, and a striker cocking indicator provides at-a-glance status.
This pistol was manufactured by Carl Walther GmbH in Ulm, Germany, and bears German DE CIP proofs with the Ulm proof symbol and a BE date code, plus CIP N on the barrel hood. It has matching serials on the slide, frame, and barrel, and carries the Walther Arms, Fort Smith, AR importer mark. The grip features dotted side panels with ribbed front and backstrap texturing for consistent purchase.
