Built by IMI in Israel during the 1980s, this Model B carbine uses a simple blowback, closed-bolt system with right-side ejection. It features a two-position F/S selector and layered safety suite that includes a selector safety, sear/trigger safety, and firing pin safety. The top-mounted charging knob preserves the classic UZI manual of arms, and the stamped steel receiver provides the platform’s well-known durability.
The 16.1 in (410 mm) carbine barrel is secured by a quick-detach system with a knurled barrel nut and catch, making maintenance straightforward. A steel side-folding stock locks solidly for shooting and folds to reduce overall length. Overall length is approximately 31.5 in extended and 24.0 in folded, with an empty weight around 8.4 lb. A sling loop is positioned under the rear of the receiver.
Controls and furniture follow the correct Model B pattern, including a ribbed polymer pistol grip and ribbed polymer handguards. The iron sight system pairs an adjustable front post with a rear flip aperture marked for 100 m and 200 m, and windage is adjustable via the rear drum with L↔R arrows.
This example is a true pre-ban Action Arms import and follows the SA-prefix serial format associated with these Philadelphia-marked carbines. Receiver stampings include: ACTION ARMS, LTD Phila., Pa.; UZI semi auto MODEL B 9mm PARA; IMI – ISRAEL; and the factory safety notice. The package is rounded out by the original IMI/Action Arms blue box and manual, along with a 25-round magazine and tan web sling.
