What's Included
- Hawk Industries Model 982 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun
The Model 982 follows the proven 870-pattern pump design, with right-side ejection and an integral tubular magazine capped by a knurled magazine cap. Its all-steel receiver and steel barrel are finished in matte black for a uniform, duty-style appearance.
The defensive 18.5 in barrel pairs with chambers cut for both 2 3/4 in and 3 in shells, and the magazine provides a 5+1 capacity. A cross-bolt safety offers straightforward operation consistent with the platform.
Factory ghost-ring sights set this example apart, combining a square-post front on a raised base with an adjustable ghost-ring rear for a clear, fast sight picture. The black polymer stock includes a recoil pad and a 14.0 in length of pull, while the synthetic fore-end features molded checkering for secure handling.
Import marks read IAC, Billerica, MA, and the shotgun is marked Made in China. Interstate Arms Corp. (IAC) imported these models for the U.S. market approximately from 2001 to 2018, and this example reflects that period’s factory configuration.
