This Standard Modell (Banner) retains its distinctive receiver markings: the Mauser banner crest over a 1934 chamber date, with the left receiver rail stamped "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF a/N." It bears Crown/B, Crown/U, Crown/G, and Crown/N proof marks, aligning with German interwar production.
The rifle uses the large-ring Mauser 98 action with charger guide, a straight bolt handle with round knob, and the full-length claw extractor. Feeding is via a fixed internal 5-round magazine designed for charger loading, with an overall capacity of 5+1.
Its short-rifle 23.6 in barrel is paired with iron sights: an unhooded front sight on a block base and a tangent rear sight with sliding elevator. K98k-type bands with spring retainers and a nose cap with bayonet lug complete the front-end hardware.
The walnut stock is configured for a side sling and includes grasping grooves, a left-side sling slot, and a takedown disc. Multiple matching serials were observed on parts, and the rifle is made in Germany. Note: the listing entry "Length of Pull: 1934" is a data-entry error indicating the receiver date.
