This Baby Rock delivers the familiar 1911 manual of arms in a compact .380 ACP package. It uses Series 70–style lockwork with no firing-pin safety, a single-action-only trigger, and both a thumb safety and grip safety, mirroring traditional 1911 operation.
The slide and frame are carbon steel with a uniform matte black Parkerized finish. Practical slide features include a rounded top, lowered and flared ejection port, and both front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation. A standard 1911-style barrel bushing supports the 3.75 in barrel.
Ergonomic details include a skeletonized three-hole trigger and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer. The sights are fixed and dovetailed, with a front blade featuring a white dot and a low-profile rear notch for a clean, snag-resistant sight picture. Black checkered grip panels with Rock Island Armory medallions complete the package.
Markings are clear and correct: the frame is roll-marked "M1911A 380," the barrel hood is marked "CAL .380," and the slide carries the Rock Island Armory crest/logo. It is imported by Armscor Precision International, Pahrump, NV, and made in the Philippines. Matching serial numbers are noted on the pistol, box, and inspection tag, and the factory item code is 51912 with an inspection tag dated 9-26-23.
